Mini Biography:
Sierra is currently a full-time student, pursuing a degree in Business at the College of Southern Idaho. She plans to go on to get her MBA.
Sierra is actively involved in the Miss America Organization, and holds the state title of Miss Idaho 2014. She is a former Miss Pocatello (2012) and Miss Magic Valley (2013).
Her platform is Possibilities for Disabilities, which is a program she runs with her little sister. They put on sports camps for kids with developmental disabilities to help them gain confidence, find their identity through discovering their passions, give them a chance to build relationships with their peers, and, if nothing else, have the opportunity to participate in activities that they are often left out of.
In her free time, she enjoys staying active in her community by organizing Possibilities for Disabilities events. She is also passionate about promoting literacy in youth, the empowerment of women and diabetes awareness and prevention.
She is an active reader and enjoys studying many topics, including history, leadership, politics, economics, theology and business.
She enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures. So far in 2014, she has been to 12 different countries, as she spent a few months backpacking through Europe, and 8 different states. She has also spent time in Asia, and lived in Ecuador for a year on a long-term medical mission trip.
